Bournemouth is located on the south coast of England and is home to approximately 164,000 people.  Bournemouth can be easily accessed by rail, coach, air and sea.

Bournemouth is both vibrant and cosmopolitan and is surrounded by beautiful wildlife, gardens, countryside and award – winning parks, as well as 12 kilometres of sand and blue sea.  There is a vast range of shops and restaurants to choose from, and top leisure and sports facilities to benefit from.  Amongst all this are highly acclaimed entertainment venues, events and conference centres.

To the west of Bournemouth you can find the stunning World Heritage coastline, with romantic locations such as Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, which attracts admirers from all over Europe and beyond.  In Bournemouth gardens you can take a flight on a tethered balloon called the Bournemouth Eye, which has panoramic views on a clear day of over 35 kilometres.  There are also museums, funfairs and galleries to see in and around Bournemouth Town.

There are endless shopping facilities available for the keen shopper, with all your high street favourites available existing alongside well established stores and dinky boutiques.  The main shopping centre Castlepoint can be found just outside the main town centre.

After dark, Bournemouth Town’s night life is thriving with bars, nightclubs, restaurants and concerts, many of which run throughout the year in either the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC), Pavilion Theatre or Pier Theatre.  During the summer you can expect an air show, free fireworks on the beach and open air concerts.

Bournemouth is home to more than 25 accredited language schools and, the UK’s number one ranked new University, as voted by The Guardian University Guide 2009 and 2010.
